Glycerin – or Glycerol is a constituent of all naturally occurring fats and oils; it is produced from vegetable oils, such as palm oil, soybean oil or coconut oil.

Glycerol is used in a variety of areas because of its osmotic properties. Thanks to these properties, glycerol is able to draw water from the surrounding tissues, exerting a hyperhydrating effect.

This makes it an excellent moisturizing ingredient in the creation of cosmetic products where it is used as a base for creams, soaps, shower gels and shampoos.
