Kigelia Africana is a majestic tree: it can reach a height of 20m and its trunk is covered with a grey, smooth bark that flakes apart over time. It has long sausage-like fruits: that’s why Kigelia Africana is popularly known as the “sausage tree”.
The extract is obtained from the fruits and it is a source of flavonoids and steroidal saponins. Flavonoids block free radicals and prevent the cutaneous damages due to oxidation, while saponins prevent sagging skin.
